Nurture & achievement for all
Nurture and achievement for all is the pivotal statement of One Community Trust. The diversity of society is evident within the diversity of our Trust, and we ensure that this diversity is recognised, celebrated and supported.
Our Trust is a cross phase group of eight community schools within the Warrington area. Our schools serve different local communities and vary in size; our High School educates nearly 1000 students and the largest of our Primary schools has over 700 children on role.
Within our schools we have six specialist provisions for varying special needs and all our schools are passionate about inclusion and success for all. We believe strong relationships are the cornerstone to a successful education.
Our schools have the autonomy to create, explore and learn from different practices. We believe in a concept of ‘collaborative autonomy’ – schools working together with common aims, under a common banner they all believe in but retaining a sense of autonomy and uniqueness.
Heatwave Guidance Statement
As temperatures increase across the region, the Trust is closely monitoring national guidance from the Department for Education, the UK Health Security Agency and the Met Office.
The safety and wellbeing of our pupils, staff and wider school communities remain our highest priority. While the Trust provides overarching guidance and support, each of our schools operates within different environments and building conditions. Factors such as building design, ventilation, classroom temperatures, site layout and the needs of individual pupils can vary significantly from one school to another.
For this reason, decisions regarding any additional measures in response to hot weather, including adjustments to uniform expectations, outdoor activities, timetables or the school day, will be made by individual Headteachers based on local risk assessments and the specific circumstances of their school.
We are confident that our school leaders are best placed to assess conditions within their own settings and to take proportionate action where necessary to ensure the continued safety and comfort of pupils and staff.
Parents and carers should continue to monitor communications from their child's school for any updates or changes to arrangements.
We thank our families, staff and pupils for their continued support and cooperation during periods of exceptionally hot weather.
